Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Five practices are characteristics of the Fitra: circumcision, shaving the pubic region, clipping the nails and cutting the moustaches short."
The practice of circumcision as a covenantal sign is common to both Genesis and Islamic tradition, indicating continuity in ritual practices and obedience to divine commandments.
