Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.
[Al-Hadīd - 11]
[Al-Hadīd - 11] Who is he that will lend to Allah a goodly loan, then (Allah) will increase it manifold to his credit (in repaying), and he will have (besides) a good reward (i.e. Paradise).
This verse is relevant because it underscores a virtue—generosity—recognized in both Islamic and biblical traditions. For someone unfamiliar with these connections, it’s a clear example that Islam doesn’t seek to undermine previous scriptures but rather upholds and confirms foundational moral principles. By highlighting these similarities, Muslims giving Dawah can show that Islam’s moral values resonate with the original intentions of earlier prophets, thereby strengthening the argument that Islam preserves rather than departs from authentic divine guidance.
