Persist in Good
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
[Al-Baqarah - 45]
[Al-Baqarah - 45] And seek help in patience and As-Salat (the prayer) and truly it is extremely heavy and hard except for Al-Khashi'un [i.e. the true believers in Allah - those who obey Allah with full submission, fear much from His Punishment, and believe in His Promise (Paradise, etc.) and in His Warnings (Hell, etc.)].
This is relevant because it identifies a shared moral vision of perseverance in doing good. By highlighting this biblical parallel, Muslims can demonstrate that Islamic ethics don’t represent a radical departure. Instead, Islam reaffirms the core notion that patience and persistence in moral conduct reap spiritual benefits. Understanding this continuity helps correct misconceptions and shows that Islam sustains fundamental principles embedded in earlier scriptures.
