Respecting Parents
Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
[Al-Isrāʼ - 23]
[Al-Isrāʼ - 23] And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour.
The command to honor one's parents is a shared ethical directive, reflecting common values regarding family respect, duty, and the significance of strong familial bonds in both religious traditions.
