The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
[Fātir - 28]
[Fātir - 28] And of men and AdDawab (moving living creatures, beasts, etc.), and cattle, in like manner of various colours. It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allah. Verily, Allah is AllMighty, OftForgiving.
This is relevant because it underscores that the Islamic ideal of pursuing knowledge aligns with longstanding divine directives. By revealing that the Bible already connects wisdom to reverence for God, Muslims show that Islam upholds this principle within its own framework. Recognizing this continuity helps dispel the notion that Islamic teachings developed in isolation, reinforcing that Islam reestablishes core truths previously revealed to humanity.
