This relevance lies in demonstrating that Islam doesn’t introduce new theological taboos but reinforces the original understanding of God’s transcendence. By pointing to the biblical command against images, Muslims highlight that Islam stands firmly in an ancient tradition of pure monotheism. This helps dispel misconceptions that Islamic aniconism is foreign, affirming that it’s a restoration of original divine intent found in earlier revelations.
